Our Identity

Bula — the name. Volita — the land. Together, a Kingdom identity.

Bula Volita is not just a brand. It is the story of who Simione Bula is, where God placed him, and the legacy he carries. It is not a name invented for the marketplace — it is an identity bestowed and inherited, carrying two inheritances at once: the legacy of a grandfather whose life modelled leadership and integrity, and the customary land whose provision sustained a family across generations.

Bula — the name and the legacy

Bula honours the legacy of Simione’s maternal grandfather of the Vuvale Natavasara, Vanua Natusara, of Dravuni Island in Ono, Kadavu — a leader and a man of integrity, loyal to his family, practised in discernment, and always true to his word and his actions. His example is the inspiration behind Simione’s journey as an entrepreneur, and the standard the enterprise holds itself to.

Bula is also the first identity Simione’s parents gave him — the name that marks the first place God placed him: within the Vuvale o Vuniyadora of the Tokatoka Namoala, Mataqali Namoala, Yavusa Kubuna of the Vanua Kubuna-i-Wai, in the Tikina of Nairai, Lomaiviti, at Natauloa Village. The name upholds God’s purpose in placing him within this family, and grounds the enterprise in belonging before business.

Volita — the land and the foundation

Volita is the name of the family’s customary land — the land that has provided since birth. On Volita the family raised its meat for food, planted pandanus for its livelihood, harvested wild yams and breadfruit as its staple, collected coconuts to earn income, and gathered firewood for energy. Volita is not an asset; it is an ancestor’s gift and a living provision. Through the traditional house foundation — the yavu ni vale Vuniyadora — Volita links Simione to his land and his ancestors, and anchors God’s purpose for him on this earth through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Bula Volita — together

Combined, Bula Volita is a complete statement of identity: where Simione is placed on this earth, the legacy of his maternal grandfather, and the customary foundation that connects him to the land Volita. The name is the enterprise’s story, its compass, and its promise. This is not a business name — it is a Kingdom identity.

Brand story

Every business begins somewhere. Bula Volita began long before it was a business — in a village on Nairai, on land that fed a family, under the example of a grandfather who led with integrity. The brand reflects a journey of learning who you are: the identity of where God places you, the name you are given, the connection you owe to your Vanua, the principles that grow from being grounded in it, and above all the belief in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and rose again — so that we are saved and free to serve God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. When Bula Volita serves a customer, signs an agreement, or puts its name to work, it does so as a bearer of that inheritance.

Founder’s statement

Bula is the name my parents gave me and the legacy of my grandfather — a leader, a man of integrity, loyal to his family and true to his word. Volita is the land that raised us — our food, our livelihood, our energy, our provision. Together they are who I am: placed by God in my Vuvale at Natauloa, connected through the yavu ni vale Vuniyadora to my land and my ancestors, and anchored in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and rose again so that I am saved and free to serve God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. This brand is my journey — and my promise to carry that identity into everything it does.
