The opportunity
Bula Volita Trust is the strategic stewardship and governance umbrella for an integrated Pacific enterprise ecosystem operating through three pillars — Enterprises, Academy, and Consultancy, Advisory & Training. Its first commercial engine is a rural-to-market kava supply chain anchored by a staged pilot in Natauloa Village, Nairai.
Why this is compelling now
- Large, proven market — FJD ~190M domestic kava sector plus FJD ~53M exports, supporting 14,500+ households — fragmented, and rewarding the first mover who organises it.
- Asset-light, replicable model — the Natauloa village-cluster playbook repeats across communities without rebuilding from scratch.
- Diversified revenue engines — kava trading margin, supply contracts, consultancy retainers, training, Academy tuition and digital products.
- Donor capital rotating toward local delivery — funders increasingly favour locally embedded operators who show measurable community outcomes.
- Founder-led, locally embedded access — trust-based community relationships that are slow and difficult for outsiders to replicate.
Blended capital strategy
The group is seeking blended capital of approximately FJD 107,000 — an FDB start-up and working-capital facility of approximately FJD 55,000 and grant / partnership funding of approximately FJD 52,000 — with a future equity round planned once pilot evidence is established. Repayment and sustainability are supported by kava trading margins, supply contracts, and consultancy, advisory and training income. Capital is released through staged investment gates, giving lenders and investors confidence that funds are staged against evidence, not aspiration.

Governance
Bula Volita Trust protects mission and identity, safeguards long-term legacy, and oversees strategic governance, impact, intellectual property and major investment decisions. The enterprise maintains clear financial controls: separation of business and personal funds, written procurement records, monthly cash-flow review, inventory and stock records, and bank reconciliation.
